Debunking the reasons not to hire a real estate personal shopper

What is your excuse for not hiring a real estate personal shopper?

My name is Ana Raventós, and I’m a buyer’s agent with Property Buyers by Somrie, the company that pioneered this service in Spain over 10 years ago.

Here are some of the excuses I hear most often for not wanting to hire our services:

I myself hardly know what I want, so how will you find it?

If you really want to buy a house or upgrade your dwelling, tell me your 3-5 “must-haves” and I’ll show you what’s available to help you narrow your focus. What’s more, we have access to all properties, including those that aren’t published online, so we can give you unbiased advice and help you get a clearer picture of what you really need, want and can afford.

I don’t know how much I can spend, because I’m not sure how much the bank will loan me.

We work with several financial entities and intermediaries that will strive to find the best mortgage conditions for you. They can calculate your maximum level of debt and provide you with a firm offer even before you start the search for your home. It’s part of the services we offer.

I have a very tight budget: I can’t afford the extra expense of paying you.

We do not charge a percentage of the purchasing price, but rather a flat fee for the services provided. Consider it an investment that will pay off, not an expense.
